| About Indian Dish Network | I feel especially happy to be able to offer excellent Satellite Dish services to the Indian community. My father was an electrical engineer, and I became fascinated with electronics at an early age. In 1989, when the first satellite dishes became commercially available in India, I began a program to help educate people in poverty by installing satellite dishes in remote sectors of India. Soon after, in Assam (near the border of Nagaland), I began working as a contractor installing satellite dishes for the Indian Army. This was the first time such a technology was available. The soldiers were very isolated and it was an amazing project to make education and entertainment available via satellite television.
This project went so successfully that I was rewarded a major contract to transport satellite dishes for the Army from New Delhi to Nagaland (Kohima), installing the first satellite dishes for the Army base there. I worked closely with the Chief of the Base, supervising the installation and staying as a guest in appreciation for the service. From there I worked on an ongoing basis installing satellite dishes for both the Army and for private use for a number of years. I feel fortunate to be able to offer this excellent and exclusive package, allowing Indians to stay connected to Indian news, culture and sports via satellite dish television.
